Chef Mark and his kitchen team seek to offer Pheasant customers creative, interesting, yet primarily British dishes, as well as quality pub classics, making full use of locally-sourced ingredients.

 

Lunchtime and evening menus are tuned to the season. But the highlight of our evening menus is the steady stream of ‘Specials’ created in Marks kitchen which reflect his background in imaginative rosette cuisine and take advantage of the many fine ingredients and products available in and around south Shropshire.

 

There’s always delicious fresh fish. Mark delights in taking whatever’s best that the boat’s brought in and making it into a something uniquely delicious – here today, gone tomorrow.

 

Even our home-made pies are cooked fresh, so some dishes do take a time to cook, but we serve them as quickly as that will allow.

For a quick bite or the lighter appetite we have great value bar snacks, and super sandwiches which you can supplement with delicious, skin-on, hand-cut chips or maybe a bowl of Mark’s home-made soup. We have a small person’s menu for the children too.

 

Sunday lunch is something special too. Top-quality beef, pork and chicken, ordered individually, come heaped on sharing boards, catering for varying appetites as well those who like a bit of each. Crispy roasted potatoes, basted in duck fat, lots of vegetables, and lashings of gravy complete the treat.
